The operating system, libraries, and software stack have been upgraded and rebuilt. We are planning a major system upgrade for Māui shortly. This will bring Māui's operating environment up to the latest supported release available for Cray's XC50 Supercomputing platforms. The outage is expected to last 7-10 days, during which Māui will be unavailable for user access and HPC jobs.
Maui_ancil systems will continue to be available throughout this maintenance window. The nobackup and persistent (project and home) filesystems will continue to be available but not via any Maui infrastructure.
Users who only have Maui allocation will need to use the Mahuika login node to access the file system while Maui is being upgraded. Please get in touch with the support team at support@nesi.org.nz if you experience problems accessing the Mahuika login node.
